About Dhaker Bol
Dhaker Bol (ঢাকের বোল, "the voice of the dhak") is a Durga Puja companion in English, Hindi and Bengali, made in Kolkata for everyone who loves Pujo.
Why we made it
Durga Puja is five days that take months of planning and leave memories for a year. You check when Sandhi Puja is and when Ashtami ends. You plan which pandals to see each night, then split the cost of rolls and cabs with friends. You find the anjali mantra on Ashtami morning, and you make sure every elder gets a Bijoya pronam. Until now, all of that lived in scattered WhatsApp forwards and paper lists. Dhaker Bol puts it in one place on your phone, and it keeps working when the network doesn't in a crowded pandal.
We made it for Bengalis in Bengal, for the Bengali families celebrating Pujo in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and abroad, and for friends from outside Bengal who want to enjoy Pujo and understand it.
