Astra Match: Ma Durga's Weapons

The story

In the Devi Mahatmya, the gods could not defeat the buffalo demon Mahishasura. Their combined anger and power took the form of Ma Durga, and each god gave her his own weapon: Shiva his trident, Vishnu his discus, Indra his thunderbolt, and many more. That is why the goddess has ten arms, each holding a weapon. Match the pairs to learn them.

How to play

• Choose 6, 8 or 10 pairs. Tap two cards at a time to find matching weapons.
• For every pair, answer the bonus question: which god gave Ma Durga that weapon? Then read what it stands for.
