Lebu-Chamoch Daur: Lemon & Spoon Race
In the para
Every Pujo, para clubs hold a sports afternoon for the children, and the lemon-and-spoon race (lebu-chamoch daur) is always the noisiest event. Runners hold a spoon in their hand (or between their teeth, for the brave) with a lemon on it. Drop the lemon and you must stop, pick it up and put it back before you run on. Speed is nothing without balance.
How to play
- Pick a course (para lane, windy Ganga ghat or the night-time pandal crowd), a difficulty and whether you hold the spoon in your hand or your teeth.
- Tilt the spoon with ← → (or the ◀ ▶ buttons, or phone tilt) to keep the lemon in the middle. Steadier lemon, faster run.
- Jump stones, puddles, stray dogs and balloon sellers with space, ↑, the ⤒ button or a tap on the track. Landing shakes the lemon!
- Your best run comes back as a white ghost to race against. Play alone or in Para mode, passing the phone round.
